Each of these scans of the Stinson 108 Parts and Accessories Letters are from the original Stinson Stinson 108 Parts and Accessories Letters which were published by Stinson on a blue back ground paper. They were written and published by the Stinson Service Department.

Stinson published information about the Stinson 108 which is informative, rather than of an airworthy nature using this different type of letter format. Examples of what these letters provide include information such as original paint colors from the factory, how to purchase parts for the Stinson 108 which are not available from Stinson, such as Kopper's Aeromatic propeller spinners, medical stretchers, etc. from other companies, part numbers for adding tie down rings, installing an external baggage compartment door for those airplanes delivered before the external baggage compartment door was standard, and other information. Often these letters contained Stinson part numbers for items manufactured after the basic parts manual was published so many of the part numbers shown in these letters is only available here.

Most of this information was written when the airplane was new. However several times recently I've received information about Stinson 108's which have been found in a barn or field, not flown for more than 50 years. There is a chance some of these Service Parts and Accessories Letter will provide information not available elsewhere.

CAUTION in many cases these Service Parts and Accessory Letters show Stinson prices which were prices in affect in the mid 1940's. With almost 70 years of inflation, prices today will be MUCH higher.
